« Formé à la rigueur, à la discipline, aux Mathématiques, aux épures, il aurait pu être architecte.
La vie en a décidé autrement mais le regret subsiste. Quand il décida d'abandonner son métier d'ingénieur, le côté romantique de son esprit cartésien se fit plaisir il suivit des cours d'architecture à l'École des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier. Et c'est ainsi qu'il crée depuis une trentaine d'années des sculptures en terre cuite dont on ne connaît pas d'équivalent. Beautés architecturales inspirées de tous les siècles, façades de palais antiques, chapelles, hôtels particuliers... Réalisations surprenantes de lieux existants et de lieux fantasmagoriques issues de son imagination. Travailler la terre, étudier l'architecture, les perspectives, modeler la matière, la pétrir puis la sculpter fait dorénavant partie de la vie de Christian … »

“Trained to be rigorous, disciplined, to be good at mathematics, to realise full-scale working drawing, he could have been an architect.
Destiny may have decided otherwise, regret still remains. When he gave up on engineering activities, the romantic side of his scientific mind took delight in learning architecture at Montpellier art school. For thirty years now, he has been creating terra cotta sculptures of a kind never seen before. Architectural beauty inspired by every century, antique palace façades, chapels, Parisian Hotel Particuliers among others, they are all amazing masterpieces representing actual or phantasmagorical places coming straight out of his creative mind. Working the terra cotta, studying architecture, perspectives, kneading the matter, moulding it and turning it into a sculpture, that is part of Christian’s everyday life…”
